CBD has been a hot topic all around the world, for some time now. Just in the last two years, I had the privilege to be present in Peru when the mother of a sick child was arrested for selling CBD oil to other patients with chronic and terminal illness. Parents had decided to do something illegal to treat their sick relatives, most of them children. Since then there has been a significant improvement in how people see CBD in Latin America.
In the U.S, change on how we view CBDs has evolved for a more extended period. We pride in being part of a society that welcomes new ideas in ways to treat ailments that have left us with no answers. But with so much talk and myths about CBDs, what should we believe? Below, I list some of the most popular myths about CBDs that you should know before you try it.
1. IT GETS YOU HIGH
This is the most popular question I get asked about CBDs. Despite having heard about the benefits, people are still hesitant to use it due to the perception that it will impair your judgment and get you that head high people buzz about when they’re stoned. Well, good news for you fellas that do not want to partake on the recreational aspect of cannabis, CBD is THC-free, the component that gives you that head high. You don’t have to deprive your body any more from CBDs!
2. CBD IS NOT FOR YOUNG CHILDREN
This couldn’t be further from the truth. CBD has been proven to be extremely helpful for children who have epilepsy, among other ailments. Click here to view the report of a parent survey of cannabidiol enriched cannabis used in pediatric treatment-resistant epilepsy.
3. CBD IS ILLEGAL
CBD oil is derived from Hemp. All Suyana products contain CBD that is derived from hemp and contains less than 0.3%THC, which is legal to sell in the United States.
4. NO RESEARCH BACKS UP CBDs
This is not true. The first cannabinoid was discovered in 1992, and since then, there has been a TON of research surrounding CBDs and the array of ailments that it can treat. Click here to see some of the studies that have been taking place.
5. ALL CBD IS THE SAME
All CBD is the same – This is a partial truth. Although all CBD is the same molecule, it is yet to be regulated by the FDA; leaving the market very unregulated and some products might not be of high quality. Here at Suyana, we pride in bringing only the finest ingredients, and that includes our CBD.
